data-end=\"772\">My journey began early \u2014 I was born prematurely at 31 weeks at the oldest United States Navy hospital, the Naval Medical Center in Portsmouth, Virginia. After my health stabilized, my parents and I moved to the U.S. Army base in Heidelberg, Germany. I spent my childhood there, attending American schools in Patrick Henry Village, Mark Twain Village, and Wiesbaden High School.<\/p><p data-start=\"774\" data-end=\"881\">In 2016, I came to Poland to continue my education in Piaseczno and to improve my Polish language skills.<\/p><p data-start=\"883\" data-end=\"1257\">After completing my studies, at the age of 24, I joined the Association of Therapists in Warsaw. There, I met extraordinary people \u2014 both therapists and participants \u2014 who quickly became my closest friends. Although using a phone, Facebook, or Messenger was new to me, these tools soon became valuable aids in daily life, helping me stay connected with those I care about.<\/p><p data-start=\"1259\" data-end=\"1543\">In 2023, inspired by memories of a family trip to Spain in 2017, I longed to experience a similar adventure again. That wish sparked the idea of organizing our first group trip \u2014 to Greece \u2014 initiated by my mother, Ewa, and joined by friends from the association and two therapists.<\/p><p data-start=\"1545\" data-end=\"1917\">After returning from Greece, my parents began planning how to continue developing our lives and travel experiences. Those discussions led to the creation of the <strong data-start=\"1706\" data-end=\"1744\">Autistic Adults on Tour Foundation<\/strong>, which was officially registered on March 1, 2024. The foundation\u2019s mission is to support international travel and personal development for adults on the autism spectrum.<\/p><p data-start=\"1919\" data-end=\"2250\">We also plan to create a unique space in Warsaw \u2014 a <strong data-start=\"1971\" data-end=\"1996\">reading room and caf\u00e9<\/strong> that will serve as a peaceful haven for readers and a place of support for seniors and individuals with limited mobility. Designed with relaxation and inclusion in mind, the reading room will offer books, magazines, and healthy beverages and desserts.<\/p><p data-start=\"2252\" data-end=\"2490\">Our foundation is still in its early stages, and we kindly ask for your patience as we grow. My journey began early \u2014 I was born prematurely at 31 weeks at the oldest United States Navy hospital, the Naval Medical Center in Portsmouth, Virginia. After my health stabilized, my parents and I moved to the U.S. Army base in Heidelberg, Germany. I spent my childhood there, attending American schools in Patrick Henry Village, Mark Twain Village, and Wiesbaden High School. In 2016, I came to Poland to continue my education in Piaseczno and to improve my Polish language skills. After completing my studies, at the age of 24, I joined the Association of Therapists in Warsaw.
